In 1945, An 18-year-old striker named Ferenc Puskás scores on his debut for Hungary in their 5-2 friendly defeat against Austria. The natural-born goal-scorer would go on to score an incredible 83 times in his 84 appearances for the side. Puskás became the captain and undisputed leader of the side they called the 'Magical Magyars'. After winning the gold medal at the 1952 Olympics in Helsinki, the side remained unbeaten for two years, until losing to West Germany in the 1954 FIFA World Cup Final in Switzerland.
