1975 Born October 24 in Medellín, Antioquia, Colombia. 2001 January 12: Became Aston Villa's record signing at £9.5 million 2007 April 17: The New York Red Bulls announced the signing of Angel as their second designated player, pending the approval of his work visa. May 8: Made his Red Bull debut in a U.S. Open Cup qualifying match. He came on as a substitute and scored a free kick in overtime in the Red Bulls' 3-1 loss to the Los Angeles Galaxy. May 31: Voted MLS Player of the Month for May after scoring three goals and tallying two assists in his first three games this season. July 19: Scored the first goal to lift the MLS All-Stars to a 2-0 victory over Celtic FC. Later he was named MVP of the Match for his performance.
