In 1904, The KI Club (the initials stand for Klaksvik Sports Club in Faeroese) is founded in the city of Klaksvik in the Faroe Islands. The KI Club was originally a tennis club and only later opened its doors to other sports like football and handball, which are now its main activities. Klaksvik is one of the best-supported clubs in a country of only 50,000 inhabitants.
