In 2004, Russian midfield maestro Yegor Titov has been handed a one-year ban for failing a drugs test. The twice Russian Player of the Year failed his test and he has now been handed a 12-month ban by UEFA for all their competitions. Along with missing Euro 2004 in Portugal, Titov will likely miss the entire Russian season for his club Spartak Moscow after FIFA extended the ban worldwide.
